Assistant Director of Nursing - Drogheda (121 Bedded)

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the team at Moorehall Lodge, Drogheda, in delivering effective and person-centred care.

This is an exciting career opportunity where you will work closely with key leaders, develop strong relationships with HIQA, HSE, families and other stakeholders, and contribute to the creation of a supportive and nurturing environment.

About the Role
  • Lead the clinical operations of the centre, ensuring delivery of effective and person-centred care.
  • Manage within approved resources, and offer strategic and operational leadership.
  • Work closely with key leaders and develop strong effective relationships with HIQA, HSE, families and other key stakeholders.
About You
  • Have full registration with The Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland.
  • Have a minimum of 3 years post-registration experience of nursing older people within the previous 6 years.
  • Have a minimum of 3 years' experience in a management capacity in the health and social care area.
  • Demonstrate sound knowledge and clinical nursing practice together with future trends in elder care.
  • Hold a post registration management qualification in health or a related field.
  • A management qualification or Higher Diploma in Gerontology is desirable but not essential.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership skills.
  • ADON experience would be an added advantage.
