An exciting opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Technician to join our client, a leading food production company located in Ballincollig, Cork on a permanent contract. This role will be based on a Mon-Fri days based week, with some ad-hoc preventative maintenance taking place on Saturday mornings. A mechanical/fitter background would suit this position.

Role Responsibilities:

  1. Mechanical troubleshooting of machinery.
  2. Electro-Mechanical repairs.
  3. Provide technical support.
  4. Support Production team in achieving targets.
  5. Closely monitor line and machine performance.
  6. Co-operate and participate fully in training and development in cross-skilling and other job-related competencies.
  7. Troubleshooting using PLC programs.
  8. Ensure KPI's are met.
  9. Completion rate of planned Preventative Maintenance schedule.

Role Requirements:

  1. Trade Qualification is essential.
  2. Mechanical/Electrical background essential.
  3. Diagnostic and/or troubleshooting experience preferred.
  4. Able to work on own initiative.
  5. FMCG experience beneficial.
