Role: Ocean Freight Forwarder
Location: North Dublin
Salary: €42k - €45k
Role Requirements:
- Coordinate and manage ocean freight shipments from origin to destination.
- Prepare and process shipping documentation, including bills of lading, customs declarations, and other required paperwork.
- Communicate with carriers, customers, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and efficient shipment delivery.
- Track and monitor shipments, providing regular updates to customers and resolving any issues that arise.
- Negotiate rates with carriers and service providers to secure the best possible pricing for our clients.
- Ensure compliance with international shipping regulations and company policies.
- Assist with customs clearance processes and coordinate with customs brokers as needed.
- Provide exceptional customer service, addressing inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for all shipments.
Candidate Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in ocean freight forwarding or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of international shipping regulations, Incoterms, and customs procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in logistics management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
