Within Group Operations, the BI & Automation team undertake a critical role in supporting the design and implementation of the business strategy for the division, working with key stakeholders within the business and across the Group.

The purpose of the Lead Data Analyst role is to work with teams across the Operations division to identify and build data and reporting solutions that will give people the information they need to carry out their business processes efficiently and effectively.

Your Team:

The BI team consists of seven data analysts (three senior, four junior) and is supported by other analysts in the Operational Transformation department. Work on the team falls under the headings of projects, recurring activity (e.g. monthly packs, regulatory reporting), and ad hoc tasks.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their processes and help identify and define new reporting and data solutions.
  • Design and delivery of data solutions and taking the lead on critical projects.
  • Support the change in enhancing the existing reporting infrastructure, methods, automation, and reporting tools.
  • Lead and coach/mentor a team of data analysts providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities.
  • Analyse research to gain insights into the business strategy, and inform ongoing development and project delivery.
  • Excellent SQL and database skills (e.g. MS SQL Server, Teradata).
  • Have several years’ experience working in a reporting environment, developing/designing reports and analysing complex data.
  • Experience of working with large amounts of data from multiple sources including structured/unstructured data; legacy systems etc.
  • Several years’ experience working in a reporting/data solutions team delivering projects.
  • Talented in presenting data visually to different types of audience (senior/junior/technical/non-technical) to communicate the message effectively.
  • Relevant 3rd Level qualification in a related field (Data Science/Computer Science) is an advantage - but hands-on experience will also be recognised.

This is a Permanent position based in PTSB's head office, St Stephen's Green Dublin (Hybrid option available within the Republic of Ireland).
