An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Associate Practitioner with experience working in a laboratory setting to join a well-established healthcare provider.

This full-time role offers excellent benefits and a salary range of :36,230 - :48,200.

As an Associate Practitioner, you will contribute to routine laboratory scientific work, ensuring quality service delivery in a dynamic environment, collaborating with the laboratory team to support various key processes.

You will be responsible for:

  1. Assisting medical staff with preparation work and ordering tests on the laboratory information system.
  2. Carrying out biopsy transfers after receiving relevant training and competency assessments.
  3. Managing patient slides according to standard operating procedures.
  4. Ensuring accurate specimen reception, matching samples and request forms correctly.
  5. Supporting stock management of laboratory reagents and consumables.
  6. Contributing to quality management, addressing non-conformances, and participating in compliance with international guidelines.
  7. Assisting in maintaining high standards for accreditation, including ISO15189 and JCI.

What we are looking for:

  1. Previously worked as an Associate Practitioner, Laboratory Technician, Lab Technician, Laboratory Scientist, Laboratory Assistant or in a similar role.
  2. Experience working in a laboratory setting.
  3. A BSc in Biological Science, General Science, Biology, or an equivalent qualification.
  4. Ideally have Histopathology experience.
  5. Post-graduate studies in a related field would be preferred.
  6. Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to tasks.
