We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team supporting adults with intellectual, physical, and/or sensory disabilities in Longford. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of service users, promoting independence, inclusion, and quality of life.
Responsibilities of Occupational Therapist- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualised OT interventions in line with best practice and person-centred care.
- Support service users to develop or maintain functional skills for daily living, including self-care, productivity, and leisure.
- Conduct environmental assessments and provide recommendations for adaptations, equipment, or assistive technology.
- Collaborate with families, carers, and other healthcare professionals to deliver coordinated care.
- Contribute to the development and review of individual support plans (ISPs) and participate in case conferences as needed.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical records in line with data protection and professional guidelines.
- Participate in service audits, CPD, supervision, and team meetings.
- Adhere to national policy, HIQA standards, and professional codes of conduct.
- BSc/MSc in Occupational Therapy or equivalent qualification recognized by CORU.
- CORU registration (or evidence of application in process).
- Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
- A person-centred, empathetic, and flexible approach.
- Full clean driving license and access to own vehicle.
