ABOUT THE JOB:

The Floor Manager is responsible for assisting the Store Manager and 2IC (second in command) in the day to day running of the department / store, including staff, stock control, sales, health & safety and more. You will need to make certain that our standards of customer satisfaction are maintained at all times thus ensuring revenue is optimized.

YOUR JOB – your tasks will include:

  • Achieve clearly defined individual and team sales and customer service targets.
  • In conjunction with the Store Manager manage the store business operations, including managing profit and loss, special promotions, merchandising, displays and events, safety and security.
  • Joint responsibility alongside the manager and 2IC for stock management, including ordering, price changes, execution of stocktakes, handling damaged products and returns.
  • Provide world class customer service; be on hand to help customers by providing information; answer questions; obtain merchandise requested; complete payment transactions and prepare merchandise for delivery.
  • Analyse and interpret trends to facilitate planning.
  • Maintain current knowledge of market trends in the retail industry, understanding forthcoming customer initiatives and monitoring what local competitions are doing.

Additional Information

  • This is an 11 month fixed term contract with potential for permanency.
  • We need employees to be flexible about when they work, covering store opening hours, including days, evenings, weekends and public holidays.
  • The successful candidate will be required to attend a company induction day.
