Ashdale Care Ireland is seeking a Residential Social Care Worker to join our expanding team. The role involves creating a safe, caring, and therapeutic environment for children in residential care, practicing in accordance with childcare legislation, standards, and company policies.
Key Responsibilities- Build genuine, caring relationships with young people and their families, promoting dignity and respect.
- Maintain a welcoming, safe, and therapeutic environment.
- Promote the rights and welfare of young people, ensuring their safety from abuse.
- Supervise outings, activities, and participate in therapeutic interventions.
- Respond to challenging behaviors and provide emotional support.
- Participate in care planning, meetings, and maintain accurate records.
- Handle key worker duties, including documentation and communication with professionals.
- Work shifts as per rota, including sleep-in duties with additional compensation.
Starting from €32,739 plus a sleep-in allowance of €13.50/hour, with benefits including training, income protection, annual leave, career development programs, and more.
Skills and Qualifications- Ability to work in regulated activity caring for young persons.
- Full clean driving license.
- Flexible and adaptable to shift patterns.
- Level 7 qualification or higher in relevant fields such as Social Care, Social Work, Nursing, etc.
