Role:

The Senior Quality Control Engineer role is to lead a team of Quality Associates and work directly with the Quality Operations Team Leader on quality engineering activities associated with day-to-day operations.

  1. Reporting to the Quality Operations Team Leader, the Senior QC Engineer is responsible for ensuring adherence to procedures and good manufacturing practices.
  2. Leads the Non-Conforming process/product identification, responsible for containment actions, identification, handling, and segregation of material.
  3. Leads a team of Quality Associates including roster planning, training, development, and performance management.
  4. Able to identify opportunities related to Quality Control and lead the change process until implementation using problem-solving and analytical skills.
  5. Assists in Failure Investigations and problem-solving sessions for non-conforming products.
  6. Provides guidance and work direction to other team members.
  7. Provides support to cross-functional teams.
  8. Provides support to internal, regulatory body, and customer audits and associated corrective actions.
  9. Supports continuous improvement of current products and practices to improve quality, customer experience, and worldwide market share.

Requirements:

  1. BA/BSc degree in a Scientific or Engineering discipline
  2. 3+ years of supervisory/leadership experience
  3. Relevant experience in quality control management, including segregation, identification, and handling of material.
  4. Extensive experience in Non-conformance handling
  5. Working knowledge in Lean six-sigma tools.
