Bus Driver, Oldtown

Sam Dennigan & Company uc., one of the largest Irish owned Fresh Produce and logistics companies based in North Co. Dublin, are currently recruiting for a number of Bus Drivers.

Working Hours:

• Flexible weekly hours
• Morning and afternoon shifts available

Bus Driver duties including but not limited to:

• Driving legally and safely, in full compliance with traffic regulations.
• Ensuring your bus cab area is kept in a safe and tidy condition at all times.
• Effective communication with passengers.
• Accurate use of the ticket machine.
• Driving bus for designated scheduled runs at allocated times and locations.
• Conducting necessary safety checks before using the vehicle to ensure correct operation of lights, indicators, reverse signals, safety doors, windscreen wipers, audible horn, and tyres.
• At the end of each service, ensuring the bus is clean and tidy, and windows and doors are securely locked.
• Maintaining a valid Irish or European Driving Licence in the appropriate D category.
• Notifying Management immediately of any suspension or conditions placed on your License.
• Notifying Management of any faults or defects.
• Ensuring a full understanding of emergency and evacuation plans.
• Reporting all safety accidents/incidents using the company's reporting procedure.

General Warehouse duties including but not limited to:

• Processing of orders and loading customer orders.
• Operating pallet trucks or trolleys for picking orders.
• General warehouse housekeeping duties.

EXPERIENCE/REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum of a D drivers Irish or European licence is essential.
• Experience in a similar driving role.
• Good knowledge of routes and geography.
• Manual handling experience with pallet trucks and trolleys.
• Experience working in a chilled warehouse environment is an advantage.
• Ability to demonstrate flexibility.
