A  leading biotechnology company  are seeking to hire an  Operations Technician  join their team in  Sligo  on a permanent basis. Reporting to the Operations Team Lead, the  Operations Technician  will be responsible for execution of  manufacturing activities .

Responsibilities (Full job description available on request):

Assist in maintaining a safe,  GMP compliant work  environment at all times. Become competent and trained on all unit operations including  tableting, blistering, labelling, packaging and antigen manufacture , plus any  manufacturing process or capabilities  that may be introduced in the future. Operate manufacturing equipment  including set-up, operation, cleaning and where applicable maintain equipment. Provide input into the creation and maintenance of area SOPs and batch records. Perform and document operations  in accordance with cGMP's. Perform environmental monitoring. Contamination control  within cleanroom environments As the company is a start-up, flexibility will be required in relation to working patterns. Shift pattern will be introduced in the future.

Ideal background:

Desirably hold an ordinary degree in a technical discipline (., pharmaceutical sciences, biotechnology). A minimum of 3 years relevant experience in the biotechnology and/or pharmaceutical industry. At least 3 years' experience in the biotechnology and/or pharmaceutical industry, with operational experience in a GMP environment Experience in cleanroom environments Experience in aseptic processing would be advantageous.
