Company Director & Dealer Principal @ Barlo Motor GroupWe are currently in a position to recruit an Automotive Service Advisor. As Service Advisor, you would be the first point of contact with our customers and act as a link between our customers and the Aftersales Department.
The correct candidate will be approachable, friendly, and courteous with a background in dealing with the public. Here at Barlo Motor Group, we pride ourselves on our customer service and we have built up many fantastic relationships with our customers over the years. Computer skills will be a much-needed part of this role.
Duties- Handle telephone calls and walk-in requests from customers wishing to book in their vehicle for service or warranty work.
- Determine workshop availability using the workshop booking system and make a suitable appointment for the customer.
- Liase with Parts Department to ensure the correct parts are ordered for the job and that they are available on the preferred day.
- Meet and greet the customer when they arrive with their vehicle.
- Establish a clear understanding of the symptoms or problem that the customer has with their vehicle and relay this to the aftersales team.
- Complete job cards with clear instructions on each item to be checked including any customer requests.
- Organise courtesy vehicles for customers where needed.
- Liase with customers while their vehicle is in the workshop for any additional work that may be needed and provide an estimate.
- Liase with workshop controller to ensure that the customers' needs have been clearly outlined and that all expectations are met.
- Ensure that the customers' vehicle is ready at the agreed time and explain all work carried out before payment.
- Manage customer feedback surveys.
- Cost off job cards at the end of each day and prepare for the next day's bookings.
- Assume some appointed duties of the Service Manager or other Aftersales Staff in their absence.
- Education of Leaving Certificate or higher.
- Fluent use of English.
- Full clean driver’s licence.
