The group provides specialist engineering services in all stages of the lifecycle management process from commissioning new equipment to condition assessment of existing assets to end of life decommissioning decisions.

We are looking for a Senior Professional Engineer to join us on our journey to a Brighter Future.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure maintenance programmes, asset health strategies and projects are delivered to the highest standards of safety and quality in accordance with the company's governance procedures.
  • Lead the testing and diagnostic assessment of HV primary plant equipment (Circuit Breakers, Instrument Transformers, Power Transformers, DC battery systems).
  • Lead fault investigations on HV primary plant equipment.
  • Provide guidance and leadership in all aspects of Project and Maintenance Programme Delivery.
  • Manage relationships with relevant stakeholders, clients, OEMs and service providers.
  • Mentor new entrants and colleagues.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years post qualification experience.
  • Strong project management and program management skills and knowledge.
  • Strong technical knowledge of transmission and distribution substations plant.
  • A proven track record in delivering substation maintenance projects.
  • Excellent record of stakeholder management.
  • In-depth knowledge of ESB processes and practices.
  • Knowledge of relevant policies and procedures, Design Standards including Health, Safety and Environmental Standards and Legislation.
  • The demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to mentor new entrants and colleagues.
  • Full Driving Licence and access to a car.
  • Membership of Professional Industry Body (Engineers Ireland, IET, Cigre etc.).

Qualifications

Level 8 Engineering / other relevant 3rd level qualification or equivalent work experience.

Location

This role is based in either E&MP Dublin offices but travel to project locations as required is a key requirement of the role.

Reporting to

Reporting to the Senior Team Leader, Primary Plant Team South, Substations Maintenance, TDE.

€57,000 to €68,000 per annum.
