Basic Grade - Speech and Language Therapist FTC

Permanent Full-Time Contract (35 hours per week)

We are currently seeking candidates for the post of Basic Grade Speech and Language Therapist The successful candidate will be working as part of a team. They will be able to upskill in the growing and exciting area of Adult Intellectual Disability. There is a varied and interesting clinical focus on both Communication and Dysphagia with full supervision.

The successful candidate must have:

      A recognized qualification in Speech and Language Therapy - with full CORU registration pending. (https://www.coru.ie/)

  • An undergraduate or post-graduate qualification in adult dysphagia
  • Keen interest in Adult Intellectual Disability including 3 months experience working in the area of intellectual disability.
  • Initiative, flexibility, excellent organisation and communication skills.
  • Full Irish Driver's License with access to own car.

Desirable:

      CORU Registration in place.

      IASLT membership

  • A minimum of 1 year's satisfactory post qualification experience working as a Speech and Language Therapist.
  • Experience working as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • At least 6 months experience working in the area of dysphagia with adults.
  • Lamh qualification.
  • Experience with AAC.
  • Experience working with individuals with behaviours that challenge.
