Job Purpose

The Marketing Manager will drive innovative strategies to increase footfall, enhance the in-store shopping experience, and grow sales across our retail locations. This role bridges strategic vision and hands-on execution, working with store teams, regional managers, and the central marketing department to deliver impactful results.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Planning & Execution

  • Develop and implement localized marketing strategies to boost footfall and sales.
  • Identify opportunities for in-store promotions, events, and activations that align with brand objectives.
  • Lead campaigns that leverage both traditional and digital marketing to attract target audiences.

Store Engagement & Improvement

  • Regularly visit retail stores to collaborate with store managers, assess marketing effectiveness, and identify areas for enhancement.
  • Provide actionable insights to improve store layout, visual merchandising, and the customer journey.

Market Research & Analysis

  • Conduct competitor analysis to understand market trends and customer behaviour.
  • Monitor campaign performance using data analytics, making adjustments as needed to optimize ROI.

Collaboration & Teamwork

  • Work closely with the digital and social marketing teams to integrate store campaigns with broader brand initiatives.
  • Partner with the PR team to promote in-store events and drive media coverage.

Budget Management

  • Oversee budgets for local store marketing campaigns, ensuring cost efficiency while maximizing impact.
  • Report on spending and campaign success to the Head of Marketing.

Training & Communication

  • Train store managers and staff on marketing best practices and upcoming campaigns.
  • Act as a key communicator, ensuring alignment between head office and store operations.

Team Management

Leading and motivating a team of traditional marketing professionals.

Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of marketing experience, with at least 2 years in retail or FMCG sectors.
  • Proven track record of creating and delivering successful in-store campaigns.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire and engage teams.
  • Analytical mindset and experience using tools like Google Analytics, CRM platforms, and POS systems.
  • Team management experience.
