Reporting: Energy Management Services Lead

Position Overview:

You will be responsible for delivering energy management services, implementing energy-efficient strategies and advising clients on optimising their energy usage. You will engage directly with clients, providing solutions to reduce energy costs and improve sustainability, while supporting energy related tasks on site.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Lead energy management services with little or no day-to-day guidance from Senior Engineers for client sites, identifying areas for improvement in energy use and sustainability.
  2. Ability to lead the energy management services for a number of sites and provide guidance to more junior engineers.
  3. Develop tailored energy management strategies, addressing clients' unique operational needs and sustainability goals.
  4. Recommend energy-efficient technologies and solutions, such as HVAC, Chillers, Boilers, pumps and renewable energy integration.
  5. Collaborate closely with clients to guide them through energy-saving projects, ensuring successful implementation with support from Senior Engineers where required.
  6. Prepare and present reports and recommendations, explaining the potential for energy savings, return on investment (ROI), and environmental benefits.
  7. Ensure compliance with energy-related regulations and support clients in achieving energy certifications such as ISO 50001.
  8. Develop energy reduction target glidepaths for clients to ensure targets will be met and identify gaps where they may fall short of target.
  9. Ability to work under own supervision and to problem solve accordingly.
  10. Knowledge and ability to develop energy flows of a site from scratch and implement energy management system framework for new sites with support from data scientists.
  11. Provide technical guidance and insights to the wider team where necessary.
  12. Ability to manage time budgets for a number of projects.
  13. Business development activities where required.
Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor's degree in Energy Management, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  2. Certification in energy management or related fields is a plus (e.g., Certified Energy Audit (CEA), Certified Energy Manager (CEM)).
Experience:
  1. 3+ years of experience in energy management, energy consulting, or a related technical field.
  2. Proven experience in performing energy audits, data analysis and implementing energy-saving technologies.
  3. Strong understanding of industrial energy systems and sustainability practices.

  1. Client Relationship Management: Ability to build strong, professional relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  2. Project Management: Strong organisational and time-management skills to oversee energy-saving projects from start to finish.
  3. Problem Solving: Ability to develop creative solutions to reduce energy consumption while maintaining or improving operational efficiency.
  4. Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in energy management systems, technologies and standards.
  5. Effective Communication Skills: Ability to present complex technical concepts to clients in a way they can understand and act upon.
  6. Mobility: Ability to travel domestically & internationally when required. Driver's licence is a requirement.
