Responsibilities
  1. Directly reporting to the Civils Manager, ensure that all civils works are delivered to the required safety, time, and quality standards.
  2. Supervise multiple sites simultaneously.
  3. Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including Local Authorities and Community Bodies.
  4. Carry out inspections/auditing field operatives in safety procedures, specification and legislative compliance, and performance.
  5. Lead an effective team, ensuring that resources are fully utilized, and any contact demand is effectively covered.
  6. Monitor individual employee & contractor performance on an ongoing basis.
  7. Proactively isolate and identify areas of improvement – driving resolve.
  8. Issue daily site reports to clients and Entegro management.
  9. Sign-off on completed works ensuring they are carried out to purple book standard.
  10. Ensure that ArcGIS or other workflow tools are correctly updated.
  11. Feedback accurate site measurements of completed works.
  12. Ensure that sites align to the programme agreed with the client and Entegro.
  13. Train & mentor fellow team members.
  14. Ensure client SOP & HSEQ requirements are adhered to.
  15. Work out of hours/weekends in line with Road Opening License & programme stipulations.
Skills Required
  1. 5+ years in a similar position.
  2. Must have previous experience of telecom civils works.
  3. Expert experience in telecoms civils to purple book standards.
  4. Road Opening & Reinstatement Advanced certified with experience on the MRL system – advantageous.
  5. Degree in civil engineering - advantageous.
  6. Previous experience of supervision of both internal teams and sub-contractors.
  7. Safe Pass, Manual Handling, Abrasive Wheel, 360, SLG, LUGS, First Aid, Power works qualifications – all desired, not a prerequisite.
  8. Flexible and adaptable to work challenges and open to learn and develop skills.
  9. Ability to multi-task and work to a high standard consistently.
  10. A high standard of written and spoken English.
  11. Good interpersonal skills and ability to work within a team.
  12. Willingness to travel as required.
  13. Full drivers' licence.
  14. Experience working with tablets/phones – using ARCGIS is beneficial.
  15. Experience working on live power networks is advantageous.
