Senior Electrical Engineer for LV, MV & HV Projects (BH-344)

Nationally, SEPAM has the ability to deliver program management solutions for small to medium-sized projects for clients, while for larger scale and mega projects, we collaborate with major Project Management companies and Engineering Procurement Construction companies to deliver successful and safe projects.

We are looking for a Senior Electrical Engineerto add to our growing Engineering team and become the driving force behind our MV/HV projects. You’ll be part of the design team for a range of multi-disciplinary Transmission & Distribution projects both domestically and internationally. You can expect variety and travel, visiting client sites to independently discuss, define and verify client requirements and reflecting the output in high quality proposals and reports.

The Role:

  • Your tasks will include developing electrical schematics, performing load calculations, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
  • You will collaborate with project teams to deliver power distribution solutions, conduct testing and troubleshooting, and provide technical support for installation and commissioning.
  • Compile and issue electrical technical submittals.
  • Manage submittals through the approvals process, track procurement and delivery of electrical equipment and complete the receipt verification process once the equipment is delivered.
  • Attend & record regular supply chain meetings to ensure that progress is monitored & maintained within the overall construction programme.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical codes, protective devices, and power quality analysis is essential. Experience with CAD software and power simulation tools is highly desirable.
  • Complete electrical system walk-downs to ensure systems are compliant with specifications and drawings.
  • Compile test pack, FTOP’s and O&Ms and present for approval.
  • Manage specialist vendors during the commissioning process to ensure timely completion of their works.
  • Undertake client training in line with agreed training plan.
  • Develop technical construction specifications.
  • Perform surveys to collect field data to develop drawings, layouts and varied visual aids.
Requirements:
  • 3rd level Qualification in Electrical Engineering / Building Services Engineering.
  • Experience with both MV and HV systems primarily in building services environments.
  • Significant Project engineering experience of 3+ years with an Electrical Contractor.
  • Previous record of delivering small to medium Electrical projects (Commercial, Industrial, pharma, data centre type projects)
  • Electrical design experience.
  • Capability of walking down electrical systems to ensure compliance with specification
  • Experience developing technical submittals, completing technical reviews and assessments.
  • The ability to multi-task and manage many priorities
  • Excellent communicator/strong interpersonal skills/communicates with impact
  • Plans and effectively manages projects.
  • Is process driven and focuses on EHS and Quality Work Management Systems and Processes.
This position is office based in our Clonmel office 5 days a week, Monday-Friday (we finish at 2pm Friday).
