About the team

: The Government Relations and Public Policy team covers a wide range of responsibilities: government affairs and government relations; policy and issue area expertise; risk and crisis management and mitigation; outreach, coalitions, and partnerships. The mission of the team is to earn trust and prevent, manage, and mitigate political, legislative, and regulatory threats to TikTok. Responsibilities:- Stay abreast of emerging policy trends and developments at the international level, providing insights and recommendations to internal stakeholders on potential implications for TikTok's business and operations.- Collaborate closely with internal cross-functional teams, including PR, Legal, Product and Engineering, to align engagement efforts with TikTok's broader strategic objectives. - Build and execute engagement strategies in individual markets to bring coherence and expertise to local projects and teams across markets. - Represent the company at external events, in industry dialogue and in GR stakeholder conversations to identify and unlock opportunities, build networks and establish TikTok as a relevant player in the data center business.- Establish and maintain meaningful relationships and deliver innovative projects with industry associations, academia and NGOs and drive long-term impact on the sustainability efforts of the company.

Minimum Qualifications: - Direct experience in Public Policy and/or Government Relations and Advocacy work. - Deep understanding of public policy issues around the data center industry, data security, privacy, and sustainability.- Proven network within the data center industry and beyond. Preferred Qualifications: - The ability to work in a dynamic environment and ability to deliver measurable impact across multiple markets.- Strong research and analysis abilities.- Strong teamwork skills.- Motivation to learn and grow, as well as motivate and inspire others.- Fluent in English as English is the working language of the company. Role Location: - This role can also be based in London and potentially other regions within Europe depending on talent location.
