Accountant

We are seeking a qualified Accountant with strong analytical skills and a desire to contribute to work that makes a real difference. Osborne is proud to partner with a leading national charity to recruit an Accountant for their Dublin-based team. This is an opportunity to bring your financial expertise to a role where impact and purpose are central to the mission.

Location: Dublin 1

Contract: Permanent

Salary: €60,000 + DOE

The Accountant Role:
  • Reporting to the Head of Finance, the Accountant plays a key role in the delivery of an efficient, compliant, and collaborative finance function.
  • Assisting with the daily operations of the finance department
  • Preparing and reviewing monthly financial reports, including budget variance analysis
  • Supporting corrective action across departments where needed
  • Overseeing debtor and creditor management and reporting
  • Managing cash flow for both revenue and capital budgets
  • Preparing information for internal and external audits
  • Assisting in the development and planning of annual budgets
  • Monitoring financial performance linked to service level agreements
  • Managing financial aspects of capital projects including RCT and VAT compliance
  • Preparing annual accounts in line with SORP for charities
  • Ensuring internal financial controls are followed and enhanced where appropriate
  • Supporting the Head of Finance with returns and management accounts
  • Reporting on internal and external KPIs
  • Promoting best practices in procurement, value for money, risk management, and operational efficiency
The Ideal Accountant:
  • Professionally qualified accountant and member of a recognised accountancy body
  • Minimum of two years' experience in finance or management accounting
  • Strong financial analysis, budgeting, and reporting skills
  • Confident in building positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong IT and systems skills, particularly in financial software and Excel
  • Experience with SORP or charity accounts is desirable but not essential
