Title and Summary

Software Engineer II (Performance Engineer) Job Summary:

Providing Innovative, Secure, and Reliable Switching Solutions is the lifeblood of Mastercard Core Products. We are currently seeking a passionate, collaborative, and experienced software engineer to join the Payment Networks Team.

If this describes you, Mastercard wants to talk to you about the creation of our new agile development team that will support Network Access solutions within the Payment Networks organization.

Role Overview

  1. Possesses a strong knowledge of programming, tools, architecture patterns, and BDD.
  2. Ensures Performance and Scalability for applications and platforms responsibilities.
  3. Works closely with software engineers to build quality by ensuring proper test and code coverage, configuration quality, monitoring, early performance testing.
  4. Documents performance test strategies and test plans; translates complex system requirements and specs into test requirements and testing methods.
  5. Participates in requirements review and performance testing activities; monitors resolutions and retains documentation.
  6. Identifies and implements complex automation efforts; replicates and resolves production issues for single application.
  7. Defines and implements best practices for end-to-end application performance management solutions; focuses on emerging technologies.
  8. Translates complex system requirements and specs into test requirements and testing methods.
  9. Directs evaluation of manual testing tools for automation opportunities.
  10. Experience overseeing the coding, testing, and review process for unit and integration testing.
  11. Ensured quality of one or more application codebases and alignment with development standard.
  12. Building automation frameworks, acceptance and integration test automation scripts, integrating with other tools.

All About You

  1. Strong Experience in Performance Engineering for Cloud-native applications using Agile methodologies.
  2. Experience in Jmeter, Java Micro Benchmark Harness (JMH), Micro Services, NATS or Equivalent messaging services.
  3. Expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Containers(PAAS).
  4. Experience in Online / Real time scalable solutions.
  5. Experience in CI and CD.
  6. Involved and spearhead software performance initiatives.
  7. Result oriented individual with Automation experience and Code Quality.
  8. Excellent Communicator.
