Currently, CoinJar is seeking a Markets in Crypto Assets Regulation (MiCAR) licence and is building out the EU team from Dublin.

About the Role
As our Chief Information Officer (PCF-49), you will be a key leader responsible for the strategic direction and operational excellence of our IT infrastructure and security. This role reports directly to the CEO and requires a deep understanding of information security, data privacy, and IT governance within a regulated financial services environment.

The successful candidate will manage operational resilience and IT risk, including conducting risk assessments, developing mitigation strategies, and ensuring business continuity in the event of a breach. You will also serve as the primary contact for cybersecurity and data protection matters.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in IT management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing IT strategies and cybersecurity programs in a regulated framework.
  • Deep understanding of IT infrastructure, network security, and cloud computing.
  • Strong knowledge of data privacy regulations and best practices.
  • Experience in the financial services or cryptocurrency industry.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM) are a plus.
