We are recruiting for a Yard Manager for a large national client who manufacture and supply large equipment used within industrial and construction industries.Company – Leading manufacturing businessJob Title – Yard ManagerLocation – Portlaoise, County LaoiseSalary – £45k - £55k basic + 10% bonus + excellent benefitsRole * Overseeing the daily operations of the site and grounds, managing logistics, supervising yard staff, and ensuring safety and efficiency in operations. * Building relationships with internally with the customer service team, and externally with customers, suppliers and hauliers. * Conducting regular inspections to maintain safety and compliance with regulations. * Ensuring that the yard kept clean and organised. * Developing and implementing processes and procedures for continual improvement. * Providing training and development for yard staff and maintaining records. * Ensuring that all team members adhere to health & safety protocols and use PPE as required. * Driving company vehicles safely and performing vehicle and equipment inspections. * Hands on role - attaching trucks to trailers, move heavy equipment, and coordinating transportation for material delivery.Requirements * Proven experience in a yard or warehouse management role. * Strong knowledge of logistics, materials management, and safety protocols. * Experience in freight management and transportation coordination. * Comfortable with heavy lifting and working outdoors. * Proficient in computer use for inventory management and reporting. * Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. * Very proactive approach and driving efficiency
