Job SummaryWe are looking for a skilled and creative Pastry Chef to join our team. You will be responsible for producing high-quality desserts, pastries, and baked goods while ensuring consistency, innovation, and excellent presentation. The ideal candidate has experience in pastry arts, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a dynamic kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and present a variety of high-quality desserts, pastries, and baked goods in line with the establishment’s standards.
- Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal and special event offerings.
- Ensure consistency in taste, texture, and presentation across all pastry items.
- Manage daily pastry production, adhering to recipes, portion control, and quality standards.
- Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and ensure proper stock rotation to minimize waste.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring all equipment is used safely and efficiently.
- Follow food safety and hygiene regulations, ensuring compliance with HACCP standards.
- Adapt recipes to accommodate dietary restrictions and guest preferences.
- Stay updated on industry trends and introduce new techniques and ideas into the pastry program.
- Support the broader kitchen team as needed and perform other duties assigned by management.
- Previous experience as a Pastry Chef in a restaurant, hotel, or bakery setting.
- Strong knowledge of pastry techniques and baking fundamentals.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Creativity and a passion for pastry innovation.
- Understanding of food safety regulations and best practices.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
