Job Description:

Senior Security Engineer (Fintech) 12 month Daily Rate contract

Location: Dublin

Type: Contract

Category: Engineering

Salary: €500-€540 daily rate

Hybrid – Dublin city

Responsibilities:
  1. Conduct security analysis of mobile applications, web applications, and web services to understand threats, attacks, and risks to payment applications.
  2. Provide technical design and architecture advice to internal teams on secure application development.
  3. Define secure mechanisms for critical business functions in cloud environments.
  4. Work closely with developers to evaluate business requests and proposed designs for feasibility.
  5. Collaborate with software development teams to recommend optimal solutions to meet security and regulatory requirements.
  6. Cultivate effective working relationships with stakeholders using security expertise.
  7. Communicate security and risk management terminology in business terms and recommend alternative solutions.
  8. Assist in strategy, standards, and architecture for security aspects of the SDLC including application, mobile, web service, DevOps, cloud, and CI/CD efforts.
Requirements:
  1. Degree in computer science/information security with expertise in information security and secure development disciplines.
  2. Experience in securely designing applications and services following industry best practices.
  3. Ability to analyze application architecture to reduce security risk to acceptable levels.
  4. Knowledge of industry standards and guidelines such as ISO27001, PCI-DSS, NIST SP800-53.
  5. Experience providing secure design advice for web-based environments and secure communication.
  6. Broad awareness of security engineering concepts across all phases of the software development lifecycle.
  7. Technical experience with Java or similar enterprise programming languages related to secure coding best practices.
  8. Strong understanding of information security, risk, and data privacy in digital commerce.
  9. Knowledge of cryptography, including encryption, hashing, key management, digital certificates, TLS.
  10. Knowledge of virtualization platforms.
  11. Experience with continuous delivery/continuous integration processes including security considerations in automated workflows.
  12. Understanding of mobile security architecture concepts for Android and iOS.
  13. Working knowledge of UNIX, Linux, or AIX.
