We are proud to be launching a new state-of-the-art technology facility in Dublin, Ireland. The Dublin-based team will play a critical role in our continued digital transformation and will function as a center of excellence for SiriusXM's global Product and Technology organization.

SiriusXM's new Dublin facility will comprise a workforce primarily focused on software development, automotive technology and engineering, AdTech, data science, and analytics. Talent based in the new technology hub will be charged with developing and implementing best-in-class standards for high-quality, scalable software deliveries for SiriusXM's streaming and in-vehicle audio entertainment platforms.

What you'll do:

SiriusXM is the leading audio entertainment company in North America, and the premier programmer and platform for subscription and digital advertising-supported audio products. SiriusXM's platforms collectively reach approximately 150 million listeners, the largest digital audio audience across paid and free tiers in North America, and deliver music, sports, talk, news, comedy, entertainment, and podcasts.

How you'll make an impact:

As a member of the software development team, you will implement end-to-end solutions for automotive IP and satellite features for SiriusXM family of services for use in Automotive, Marine, and Aviation systems. You will participate in software development and support efforts for software architectures, analysis of alternate implementations/techniques, design, implementation, documentation, and assisting our customers in integrating our technology into their systems.

Provide clear communications and accountability within and between teams and enable the teams to overcome obstacles. Be the champion of new features and of execution excellence in achieving it.

Responsibilities:

  1. Software development for advanced features, architectures, and platforms for end-to-end solutions for the implementation of SiriusXM technology used in Automotive infotainment systems and head units.
  2. Participate in the entire engineering process from concept through release to create new features in an agile process.
  3. Collaborate with SiriusXM receiver manufacturer partners to resolve outstanding user interface software issues during the product development process.
  4. Participate in SW estimates and scoping by identifying increasingly refined work and cost estimates through the decision-making and implementation process.
  5. Author software components, ensuring they meet functional and quality requirements.
  6. Participate with the design of top-level interactions between components, including automotive functional requirements for each component within the overall design.
  7. Support and resolve encountered design and implementation issues over the entire development process from conceptual design through implementation and release.
  8. Participate in review sessions for new user interfaces, features, and software implementation designs with the software team and other stakeholders.
  9. Support the development and integration of all feature components.

What you'll need:

  1. Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, SW Engineering, or equivalent experience required. MS Engineering is desired in SW engineering.
  2. 7+ years' experience, primarily in software development projects.
  3. Experience in a variety of programming languages/frameworks across the stack including Java, Kotlin, React, C/C++, Native, JSON, QT, Flutter.
  4. Experience with advanced software development environments (IDE, compilers, operating systems, source management tools, CI/CD, and test tools).
  5. Familiarity with embedded, real-time software with the ability to clearly articulate complex system requirements and design considerations.
  6. Experience in developing Proof Of Concepts for viable financial impact to new and existing production intent using the variety of skills and past knowledge the candidate possesses.
  7. Experience/working knowledge in leading design and end-user services in one or more of these areas: Financial (Subscription, billing and payment systems), Data/Information, Content (especially audio or video), Diverse platforms and programming languages.
  8. Comfortable working in a matrix environment, coordinating activities of multiple teams in multiple sites not under line management control.
  9. Provide technical leadership for a unique diverse matrixed organization for each feature.
  10. Drive the feature team to solve technical and schedule problems in cooperation with the feature owner.
