We are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Commercial Underwriter to join our client, a leading insurance organisation based in Dublin City Centre. This role will involve working across multi-line business through both broker and client channels.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial underwriting and experience managing a portfolio of client and broker accounts.
This is a hybrid role with two days spent in the office, offering various benefits including healthcare, pension, bonus, and more.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Managing the commercial portfolio for both direct and broker accounts.
- Analysing policy performance for direct and broker clients, including pricing and coverage evaluations.
- Ensuring compliance with file documentation standards, underwriting guidelines, and audit requirements.
- Providing underwriting training and mentoring to team members.
- Assisting in the day-to-day management of Property, Liability, and Commercial Combined portfolios, including adjustments and account management.
- Underwriting and negotiating products for direct and broker clients.
- Developing and maintaining client relationships to support business growth.
- Arranging Insurance surveys according to underwriting procedures.
- Maintaining Underwriting records in compliance with regulations.
- Assisting with reinsurance maintenance and placement.
Your Key Skills:
- Professional qualification within insurance.
- Previous experience in an underwriting role with a focus on technical aspects is advantageous.
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and effectively communicate organisational objectives.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proficient in numeracy and analytics, capable of interpreting data and preparing reports.
