Mount Juliet Estate, a Marriott Autograph Collection Property and certified Great Place to Work, have a fantastic vacancy for a Groundsperson / Greenskeeper to join our exceptional award winning Greenskeeping team.

Main Duties
  1. Cut tees, greens, surrounds, fairways, rough and semi rough.
  2. Operates some equipment used in course maintenance.
  3. Set up the golf course, including changing holes, moving tee markers, indicating OOB, Drop zones and hazards.
  4. Mowers: fairway, tee.
  5. Small machinery: string trimmer, fly mow, backpack blower.
  6. Involved in course detail tasks: weed and debris clean-up, poa eradication, etc.
  7. Maintains equipment fluid levels: Petrol/ diesel/ oil, etc. (throughout day)
  8. Reports equipment problems/failures to mechanic immediately and completes correct paper work.
  9. Performs daily equipment repair and maintenance as directed by Lead Mechanic.
  10. Ensures that all equipment used is washed properly, returned to designated location and charging if applicable.
  11. Performs bunker maintenance: operation of mechanical rake.
  12. Monitor property grounds to ensure a pleasant appearance.
  13. Maintain lawns by mowing, edging, raking leaves, and performing other lawn maintenance functions. Wash, clean, and re-fuel all equipment after use.
  14. Maintain flower beds, baskets, and boxes by watering, removing weeds, trimming, and performing other maintenance.
  15. Maintain the appearance of planters, or other grounds features by cleaning, replacing or making repairs.
  16. Maintain the appearance and safety of sidewalks, driveways, cart paths, or parking lots by filling in cracks, holes, and making other repairs.
  17. Operate tractors, trucks, or utility vehicles to transport equipment and supplies.
  18. Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries; complete safety training and certifications.
  19. Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards.
  20. Perform other reasonable job duties as required.
Other Job Requirements
  1. Regular and reliable attendance.
  2. Ability to work outdoor shifts.
  3. Must be able to work weekends.
  4. Candidates must be able to meet the physical demands of the position, which include: regularly standing; walking; climbing or balancing; and stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Minimum Qualifications
  1. One month related experience or training.
  2. Must have a valid driver's license.
