HVAC Commissioning Engineer - Data Centre Cooling

My client provides applied HVAC products for data centres, typically air handling units and chilled water systems. They are looking for a Commissioning Engineer based in Ireland to visit customer sites to assist with the commissioning, fault finding and after-care of equipment installations. The role will also involve 20% travel to Europe and the UK.

Package:

Total earnings in the region of €80,000 - €90,000

Base salary in the region of €60,000

40 hours per week plus over-time paid at 1.5x rate

Unsociable hours bonus €4,000

Travel and vehicle allowance

Requirements:

  • Proven ability as a HVAC Engineer or an Electrician with strong AHU, chiller and controls experience
  • Strong technical knowledge of HVAC systems, including cooling, ventilation, and air distribution
  • Familiarity with commissioning processes, test procedures, and relevant standards

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform commissioning, testing, and validation of HVAC systems within data centres
  • Conduct functional performance testing and system calibration
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to HVAC systems
  • Prepare and review commissioning documentation, including reports and testing records
  • Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and clients to ensure seamless integration of HVAC systems
  • Ensure compliance with safety and industry regulations
  • Provide training and technical support to site teams as needed
