Overview

Are you passionate about beer? Do you want to be a key player in ensuring consumers get the perfect pint of Diageo's market-leading draught beer brands such as Guinness, Harp, Rockshore, Carlsberg, or Smithwick's? If so, this is the role for you.

The role is a 6-month temporary position.

The primary focus of this role will involve assisting the current team of Draught Beer Technicians on specific projects nationwide. This includes planning, installation, withdrawal, and maintenance of Diageo Ireland's permanent and temporary equipment, along with carrying out dispense line cleaning and equipment maintenance and repair. The role may also include working across any section of the full CPM Guinness Quality Team in the future.

The roles are required to cover work needed in Dublin, County Dublin, the midlands, and other eastern counties of Ireland.

Every member of the CPM team contributes to the overall growth of our business. People are at the core of CPM's business proposition, so as a key member of the QSP team, this role is expected to make a significant contribution to delivering value for our client, demonstrating initiative to drive best practices and continuous improvement. A "can-do" attitude combined with a customer-centric focus is essential for success in this role.

The primary responsibilities for this role are:

  1. Planning, installation, withdrawal, and maintenance of Diageo dispense equipment.
  2. Complete dispense line hygiene procedure to a scheduled journey plan.
  3. Maintain a focus on the 7Cs Guinness Quality Standards for every call in the defined territory.
  4. Accurate recording of Diageo Ireland assets in trade.
  5. Product Quality Tracking and reporting.
  6. Carry out Age of Beer reporting and return beer tagging.
  7. Build and maintain strong customer relationships.
  8. Assist with outlet refurbishments and system upgrades when required.
  9. Complete tap resites when required.
  10. Install and withdraw dispense equipment, including permanent and temporary equipment when required.
  11. Complete all tasks to company standards and within all specified SLA's.
  12. Operate in an effective, efficient, and professional manner when completing all tasks and representing CPM and our client Diageo.
  13. Work within industry health and safety standards.
  14. Generate new ideas and ways of working.
  15. Consistently strive to reach the highest standards of performance for customers.
  16. Always ensure that you operate in an effective and efficient manner to complete all tasks.
  17. Undertake any other duties and responsibilities as instructed by your line manager.

Experience:

  • Full driving licence is essential.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain excellent client and customer relationships.
  • Demonstrate a clear ability to manage clients and customers professionally.
  • Knowledge of beer dispense systems and equipment is desirable.
  • Knowledge of beer dispense fault finding is desirable.
  • Target-driven with a proven record of achieving KPIs.
  • Organised and able to manage a host of priorities.
  • Excellent commercial awareness.
  • Energetic and enthusiastic.
  • Previous electrical or plumbing experience is desirable.
  • Experience diagnosing faults.
  • Comfortable using an iPad and iPad apps for reporting purposes.
  • Awareness of health and safety and PPE in the workplace.

Qualifications:

  • Education to Leaving Certificate.
  • Qualification in a trade is desirable.
