Python Developer – Contract roles x4

Stelfox has partnered with one of the largest financial institutions in the world, which offers a comprehensive range of banking, investing, asset management, and financial risk management products and services for individuals, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), and large corporations. They are seeking four Senior Python Developers to join their team for both existing and new projects.

Role:

You will be responsible for designing and developing web-based Python solutions to address complex business challenges. You will collaborate closely with business users, business analysts, and fellow developers to create top-tier risk management solutions. As part of a global team, the company utilizes a diverse range of technologies. They operate in an Agile environment and are continuously looking to improve their processes, placing a strong emphasis on exploring new technologies. This is a fantastic opportunity for the right developer to advance their career within a rapidly growing team.

It is a 6-month rolling and long-term contract, with contractors required to be based in Ireland for the duration. The working model is hybrid, with three days on-site and two days remote each week (non-negotiable).

Core Skills Required:

  1. Minimum 5 years of experience as a Python Developer
  2. In-depth understanding of the Python software development stacks, ecosystems, frameworks, and tools.
  3. Experience in writing clean, efficient and reusable code following coding standards and best practices.
  4. Strong experience in relational database/SQL experience
  5. Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Git, Jenkins, Artifactory, and Ansible
  6. Excellent problem-solving ability with solid communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred:

  1. Experience working in an Agile development environment.
  2. Experience with popular Python frameworks such as Flask and Django
  3. Experience building RESTful web APIs
