Take ownership for customer installations and maintenance

As a Field Service Engineer, you will play a vital role onsite with our customers. Leading preventative and remedial maintenance activities, collaborating to solve issues and ensure safe, compliant maintenance services are delivered. Continually developing your knowledge and skills to deliver innovative solutions for customers and influence the operational year plan.

As a Field Engineer, You Will Be Responsible For

  1. Attending customer sites to provide technical support for on-site installation, periodic maintenance, repairs, and upgrades on X-ray CT systems.
  2. Taking ownership of making key engineering decisions to provide effective delivery of customer solutions.
  3. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to provide technical guidance for planning activities.
  4. Contributing to the development of an operational year plan for the department and activities of the team.
  5. Following internal project processes to ensure procedural compliance and be able to make adjustments and improvements.

Must Haves

To be successful in this role you will:

  1. Have relevant Electrical/Maintenance Engineering qualification.
  2. Have proven experience in a previous Electrical/Maintenance Engineering position.
  3. Be able to demonstrate good working knowledge of the maintenance and operation of industrial inspection solutions.
  4. Be a self-starter, able to make key decisions and create innovative solutions.
  5. Be able to contribute to the development of operational plans.
  6. Be fluent in English (oral and written) and have excellent all-round communication skills.
  7. Have awareness OFSE/IET IXS Waygate Ireland Health, Safety, and Environmental compliance and potential risks.
  8. Be happy to travel to European locations to work with customers on site, mostly Ireland and UK.
  9. Be home-based ideally in the South of Ireland and able to travel flexibly, at short notice, and be away from home for short periods of time.
  10. NDT/CT Systems experience would be advantageous.
  11. Hold an Irish work permit/passport and not require future sponsorship.
  12. Hold a full EU driving license.
