This senior role is ideal for a risk expert who thrives in a dynamic environment, with the ability to shape and enhance risk management practices across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain a strategic view of the enterprise risk portfolio, advising senior management on risk exposure and organisational resilience.
  2. Develop and implement risk policies, frameworks, and methodologies to support the organisation's risk strategy.
  3. Provide independent oversight of operational and enterprise risks, ensuring compliance with the three lines of defence model.
  4. Engage with business units to identify and evaluate key risks, emerging risks, and mitigation strategies.
  5. Oversee the Enterprise Risk Management System, supporting business users in risk management processes.
  6. Lead the planning and execution of Risk Week, engaging internal and external stakeholders to promote a strong risk culture.
  7. Support governance structures, including the Operational Risk and Control Committee, IT Security Committee, and Enterprise Risk Management Committee.
  8. Provide subject matter expertise on Operational Resilience, Third-Party Risk Management, and Generative AI Governance.
  9. Deliver risk management training programmes to ensure risk awareness across the organisation.

Experience & Skills Required:

  1. Minimum 7 years' experience in a senior risk management role, ideally within financial services.
  2. Strong track record in developing and implementing risk management frameworks.
  3. Experience in leading and influencing stakeholders across an organisation to embed risk management best practices.
  4. Strong leadership and people management skills, with experience coaching and mentoring teams.
  5. In-depth knowledge of risk management methodologies, tools, and frameworks.
  6. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to present complex risk topics to senior leadership.
  7. Strong analytical skills with a high level of numeracy and proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint.
