Job Summary 

Gracy's Restaurant is seeking an experienced Pizza Chef to join our kitchen team. This role offers the opportunity to work alongside our existing Pizza Chef, in a fast-paced, high-standard kitchen. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking artisan pizzas in our hand-built wood-fired oven, using high-quality local ingredients. You will contribute to the ongoing development of our pizza offerings, ensuring consistency and excellence in every dish.

Principle Responsibilities  

  • To work as a team and produce excellent pizzas to delight our customers.
  • To prepare the mis en place for service to a high standard and ensuring HACCP is applied throughout all food production
  • Making fresh sauces and preparations daily.
  • Helping and assisting other areas of the kitchen when required as part of a team.
  • Ensuring there is enough back up mis en place for busy days.
  • Ordering and rotation of stock
  • Accommodating different dietary requirements and keeping your customers happy.
  • Cut, slice and grill meats like chicken, ham and beef
  • Cook appetizers, like mozzarella sticks, pizza bites, garlic breads and salads
  • Introduce wonderful alternatives to our current offer as a special
  • Working clean and organized at all times. Ensuring kitchen work areas and service areas are sanitized and kept clean at all times
  • Professional personal presentation at all times ensuring you look clean and well-groomed and clean well-presented uniform
  • Capable of working with a team and taking responsibility when required.
  • Familiarity with professional kitchen equipment and brick or stone oven
  • Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends and evenings, or as the business requires
  • To provide details of relevant experience in similar role
  • Ensuring wastage and errors are kept to a minimum
  • Share your experience with junior chefs
  • Engages positively with front of house staff/ waiters and resolve any issues calmly and quickly.
  • Embraces working in a positive environment and is a team player.
