Job Title: Mandarin-English Proof-reader & Translator – Ireland

Working Hours: Flexible

Location: Remote

Overall Purpose of the Job:

The part-time Mandarin Translator & Proof-reader is a dynamic individual who envisions a fun and challenging career and can edit, proofread, and translate from Mandarin to English to a high standard.

The key tasks include but are not limited to:

  • Editing, proofreading, and translating from Mandarin to English to a high standard.
  • Scrutinizing documents in minute detail for errors to be identified and corrected.
  • Revising documents logically and consistently.
  • Controlling paperwork quality and ensuring good formatting.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Experiences:

  • Excellent written English with a minimum of 7.0 in writing on the IELTS or equivalent language tests.
  • Fluent in English and Mandarin at near-native level.
  • Able to work efficiently to meet deadlines.
  • Passionate about writing and translating.
  • The successful candidate must present the right to work in Ireland by the start of employment.
