Technical Service Advisor

Dublin, Ireland MOTOR DISTRIBUTORS LTD Full time

To work as part of the Operations Team to ensure the continuous mobility of our fleet. Liaise with Drivers & Clients to determine problems with vehicles. Manage all driver queries such as service bookings, breakdowns & general vehicle care advice. Broad vehicle knowledge is a minimum requirement to ensure we provide the best level of attention to our Drivers & Clients. Good technical experience with the appropriate qualification is an advantage.

Tasks:

  1. Working as part of a team, process all tasks efficiently
  2. Communicate & translate customer requests to service providers
  3. Daily update of internal systems
  4. Ensure vehicle downtime is kept to an absolute minimum
  5. Accurately communicate and update drivers where required
  6. Resolve quality issues as directed by Line Manager
  7. Ensure all communications are dealt with adhering to the correct policy and within agreed guidelines
  8. To undertake any reasonable role related duties which may be required from time to time by Line Manager.
  9. Achieve team goals and achieve individual targets as outlined by Line Manager

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

  1. Experience within a motor dealer, vehicle manufacturer environment as Advisor, Technician, after Sales Manager or similar.
  2. Mechanical qualification is advantageous
  3. Excellent numeracy and literacy required
  4. Experience working in a corporate office environment and dealing with customers advantageous
  5. Computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Office Systems (i.e. Word, Excel).
  6. Pragmatic decision-maker with a good technical knowledge
  7. High customer satisfaction drive, comfortable negotiating and talking to repairing garages and internally to resolve issues to mutual satisfaction.
  8. Good telephone communicator with both suppliers and customers.
  9. High achievement & drive with a proven ability to deliver results
  10. Showing professionalism, knowledge and enthusiasm
  11. Team player who actively participates in shared objectives and has an enthusiasm and commitment to work towards team goals.
