Our team aims to integrate responsible business into our operations, governance and decision-making, and we deliver the firm's environment, social impact, diversity, equity and inclusion (DE&I) and wellbeing programmes. We are looking for someone with expertise in sustainability reporting to enable us to measure and report our progress against our responsible business objectives, and align our approach with emerging ESG reporting regulations.

Our responsible business initiatives span the entire firm, which means you will have access to colleagues across all our regions globally. The successful Responsible Business Analyst will be involved in creating new processes and working practices, as well as supporting responsible business colleagues to design and develop new systems and policies.

Team

Kennedys HR team support the firm around the world with all people related matters.

The HR team is based in Chelmsford, London and Manchester for the UK, Belfast and Dublin for EMEA, Singapore, Hong Kong and Australia for APAC, Basking Ridge for US and Miami for LATAM. The areas of HR that we have responsibility for are Business Partnering, Learning and Development, Policies and Operations, Recruitment, Responsible Business (Social Impact and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion), Reward and HR Systems. The HR function is also responsible for the Secretarial function in the UK.

You will be working in a fast-paced, demanding, and global environment as we strive to make a difference for our people, clients and communities where we work.

Key responsibilities

Support and guide the team on appropriate KPIs and metrics that enable us to measure our performance against our responsible business goals and ensure these are aligned to ESG regulatory requirements Collate and analyse responsible business/ESG performance data Lead the delivery of the firm's responsible business reporting, which currently includes an annual responsible business report, UN Global Compact Communication on Progress questionnaire, EcoVadis sustainability assessment and internal leadership reports Work with our Business Development colleagues to develop ESG reports for clients and feed into performance dashboards Review and feed into responses to client requests for information, such as due diligence questionnaires, RFIs, pitches and audits Develop and keep up to date a suite of external-facing assets that demonstrate the firm's progress against its responsible business goals and priorities Support the development of systems and infrastructure that enables us to adhere to emerging ESG reporting regulations Support the Sustainable Procurement function to develop supplier risk assessments and screening questionnaires on material responsible business areas, and feed in to supplier engagement and training activities Maintain and support updates to responsible business-related policies, and ensure improvement areas from sustainability assessments are incorporated as required Project manage assessments for the firm including double materiality assessments and support the wider team in feeding the outcomes into strategic objectives Research and advise on emerging ESG trends, best practices and regulations across our operating regions Build ESG reporting knowledge and expertise as the legislative and regulatory landscape evolves and bring learning back to the team, disseminating key information that they can use to develop their respective strategies.

Required experience

Direct experience in delivering responsible business/ESG reporting, preferably in a professional services or corporate environment A good understanding of data sets within our key areas of DE&I (i.e. workforce diversity data), wellbeing, environment data (i.e. GHG emissions) and social impact, and how to interpret these A genuine interest in measuring and reporting ESG performance Ability to manage a wide range of stakeholders and collaborate in multi-functional teams Attention to detail and demonstrated project management skills A global view and understanding of ESG – we operate in 20 countries Excellent organisational and written communication skills A team player who is able to work in a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment with different teams within a global law firm setting Ability to deal with highly confidential and sensitive data Knowledge of the MS suite of products
