Reporting to the Chief Information, Technology and Security Officer, the Data Analyst will be an integral part of the Data, Analytics, and AI pillar's success. The Data Analyst will play a crucial role in managing and analyzing data within the organization and how that can drive value creation across the company. The Data Analyst will work closely with the enterprise to identify and implement data-driven strategies that drive business growth, operational efficiency, EBITDA enhancement and improve decision-making across the organization.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Utilize analysis and design techniques to assess the suitability of systems and provide strategic recommendations to achieve intended outcomes.
  • Establish and maintain robust relationships with key stakeholders, end users, vendors, and development teams to solve complex business problems using data-driven insights.
  • Leverage and incorporate leading Machine Learning technologies that drive strong value creation for Waystone in an appropriate way that also supports how we can monetise our data-driven assets and capabilities.
  • Oversee the creation of detailed and comprehensive requirements analysis, specifications, and technical process documentation within the data analysis lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with internal and client teams throughout the implementation process to ensure timely and quality delivery of data solutions and building the Intellectual Property of Waystone with regards to our Data Assets and how this contributes to Waystone's competitive advantage.
  • Navigate complex data environments and contribute to setting appropriate technology directions that align with business objectives.
  • Strategically manage and coordinate multiple phases of data-related projects and/or multiple small projects of moderate scope, often involving complex assignments.
  • Partner with project managers and stakeholders to prepare realistic project plans, including quality assurance, risk management, and communication plans. Predict and assess project risks and proactively communicate and mitigate them.
  • Lead training and digital adoption and develop competency within the practice.

Experience:

  • Relevant experience within funds industry (preferred) or broader financial services, in highly regulated environments.
  • Deep knowledge in data analysis, proactive engagement with new and emerging data technologies, and AI developments.
  • Expertise in data analysis applications and technologies.
  • Proven ability in satisfying quality assurance, test planning, creation and execution.
  • Proficient in data analysis, including SQL, with strong problem-solving capabilities, particularly with loosely defined structures and scopes.
  • Experience in use of JIRA and ability to train others in its use.
  • Demonstrable professional integrity, dedication to upholding the company's high-quality standards and client focus.
  • Proven adherence to legal and regulatory guidelines, and in-house policies and business ethics.
  • Excellent communicator, with the ability to communicate at both senior management and end user level.
  • Highly motivated, self-driven, proactive and continuously seeking learning opportunities for both self and team.

Education:

  • Internationally recognized third level Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, MIS, Accounting, or relevant discipline and/or relevant work experience.
