Who We Are

(CHI) is leading on the clinical and operational transformation of acute paediatric healthcare and consists of hospitals at Crumlin, Temple Street and Tallaght as well as an Urgent Care Centre at Connolly hospital in Blanchardstown.

Skills and attributes
  • Minimum 5 years' experience post qualification
  • Psychology Degree
  • Post Grad in Clinical/ Counselling Psychology
Description

The purpose of the post is to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team across all aspects of a specialist Child Sexual Abuse Service, including assessment, consultation and therapy.

  • Hold a recognised University Degree or Diploma obtained with first or second class honours in which Psychology was taken as a major subject and honours obtained in that subject.

and

  • Hold a post-graduate professional qualification in Clinical/ Counselling Psychology recognised by the Psychological Society of Ireland

or

  • Hold a postgraduate professional psychology qualification validated by the Department of Health and Children in Clinical/ Counselling Psychology, Applicants should refer to the Dept. of Health & Children regulations on the Employment of Psychologists in the Health Services, as well as, the PSI Guidelines on Post Graduate Training & Qualifications
  • Have had at least 5 years' satisfactory post graduate experience in Clinical or Counselling Psychology (inclusive of time spent pursuing a recognised Post Graduate Qualification in Clinical or Counselling Psychology).
  • Must possess the requisite knowledge and ability including a high standard of suitability to discharge satisfactorily the duties of the office.
  • Possess a high standard of professional attainment.
  • Have substantial experience working directly with children and their families, to include both assessment and therapy
