Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
  • Extensive experience as a data science practitioner.
  • Proficiency in SQL.
  • Advanced skills in writing complex, highly-optimized SQL queries across extensive datasets.
  • Solid expertise in R/Python.
  • Experience in Tableau or Power BI.
  • Specialization in statistics modeling and machine learning.
  • Skills in applying quantitative methods to structured & unstructured data for exploratory data analysis, pattern recognition, insights derivation, metrics development, and report scaling.
  • Strong programming capabilities in data processing and manipulation (preference for SQL & Python).
  • Effective communication of outcomes and insights to various team members at all levels, including senior management, to influence strategic decisions positively.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities for refining problem statements and utilizing available data for solutions.

The position requires compliance with Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements. This includes specialized security screenings such as the Microsoft Cloud Background Check, mandatory upon hire/transfer and renewal every two years.

Responsibilities

  • Develop scalable data assets (dashboards, data models, workflows) to facilitate reliable and rapid decision support.
  • Gain deep insights into the Data Center delivery cycle and pertinent information to aid leadership and stakeholders in making data-driven decisions and continuous process enhancements.
  • Employ statistical methods, causal inference, and machine learning to guide Data Center business decisions and optimize processes and systems.
  • Advocate for team members, offering valuable insights to internal teams (e.g., Scheduling) striving for business process enhancement and improved data reporting.
  • Create and execute innovative solutions to enhance the quality of data products and support interactions.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver exceptional support and data insights experiences.
  • Provide confident analytics and reporting guidance to business leaders to ensure seamless execution.
  • Summarize and effectively communicate data analysis assumptions and results.
  • Work with stakeholders to refine the scope of analysis based on a vague problem statement and leverage results for informed decision-making.
