Senior Design Manager - Building Experience

The Senior Design Manager's role involves coordinating design elements and interfaces for specific tasks or projects based on size and complexity. They must understand and oversee the design requirements of the project, ensuring it aligns with the timeline and budget constraints.

What You'll Do:
  • Collaborate with Site Management to develop design packages and procurement strategies.
  • Supervise design consultants, sub-consultants, and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery of design-related information.
  • Conduct design audits when necessary and provide feedback to the project director.
  • Participate in production meetings and contribute to resolving design issues.
Requirements:
  • Degree in structural/civil engineering.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in the Construction or Engineering consultancy Industry.
  • Experience with Temporary Works procedure, Design Approval process, CDM for Designers, and CDM Awareness.
  • Ability to lead a design team, including managers and coordinators.
  • Background in pre-construction phases.
