About the role

An opportunity has arisen for a Risk Professional to join Davy's Risk Management team. The role will report directly to the Head of Operational Risk and provide support and coverage of Davy Wealth Management and Capital Markets teams to ensure that the business has embedded a robust Risk and Control Infrastructure aligned with best practice. In the role, the successful candidate will:

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide Operational Risk Management support (e.g. Information Security & Cyber Risk, Model Risk, Sourcing / Third Party Risk etc)
  • Provide ongoing risk monitoring, reporting and analysis across Operational Risk.
  • Support the Head of Operational Risk on reporting to various governance Committees and the Board.
  • Represent Davy Risk as SME on related projects and team initiatives.
  • Drive continuous process improvement and innovation across team activities.
  • Engagement with the Wealth Management and Capital Markets business to ensure Davy's Risk Management Framework has been adequately embedded in the 1LoD.
  • Enhance risk culture by promoting risk awareness and embedding Davy's values in the business.
  • Assist in the enhancement of Davy's Control Assurance Framework and ensure that the Business Units/Functions have appropriate controls in place.

Requirements

  • Strong educational background (3rd level relevant degree and/or professional qualification).
  • 3 - 5 years' experience in a risk-related role, ideally one that has exposed you to different operational risk areas and business models.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of the various components of operational risk with proven stakeholder management and influencing skills.
  • Good knowledge of GRC systems.
  • Advanced experience in Excel, PowerPoint, VBA would be beneficial but not a pre-requisite.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of Financial Services Regulation e.g., CBI, FCA, EBA or ESMA would be beneficial.
