IT Data & Analytics Team Lead
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced, technical IT Data & Analytics Team Lead within our Data & Analytics Team at Colgate Palmolive.
The ideal candidate has a strong analytics & data engineering background, with demonstrated expertise in big data and cloud computing. Ability to work with relational and non-relational databases, structured and unstructured data. A track record in building data pipelines using airflow and within the CI/CD process.
They will be self-motivated, curious, performance driven, with a passion about the role of technology in transforming businesses and delivering value. They have experience in coaching and leading a team, providing clear direction on focus and value. They have experience in managing Data and Analytics projects. They are equally comfortable communicating with technical resources as well as commercial and creative talent.
Key Responsibilities
As Data & Analytics Team Lead, you will use your expertise in data tools and techniques to deliver solutions for insights, communicate best practices and accelerate the learning and development of the IT team and key stakeholders across the IT and business community. You will:
Connect the dots between business strategy and how technology can support the strategy to drive growth Work closely with business partners to help prioritize their analytics and data needs Lead, upskill and empower the team to deliver technology for growth in the regions. Define work assignments and mentor junior team members Coach for development and growth in technical and non-technical areas Manage Data and Analytics projects for the region. Ensure Project methodology for data and analytics projects is followed. Coach project managers within your team. Ensure that the team follows the architectural standards laid out by the global IT team Adhere to global governance standards for data and master data management, build processes to maintain accountability and ownership of good quality data. Ensure that all solutions are clearly documented to allow for knowledge sharing and significant growth over a short period of time Oversee project resource requirements covering capacity & expertiseRequirements & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering or similar degree. 7-10 years experience in Data & Analysis roles with a proven track record in leading a team of technical experts with strong leadership, business and personal attributes to influence upwards. Proven track record in leading and empowering teams, including recruiting & developing individuals and teams to a high standard. Expertise and proven project delivery with tools such as Snowflake, dbt, Python, SQL, GCP, airflow, terraform. A good understanding of how an end to end pipeline is created from data ingestion through to visualization. Practical experience of agile project management and technology enablement - managing the delivery of data & analytics initiatives - demonstrating effective coordination of business and technology stakeholders. Communicating effectively with all levels in the organization and globally. Clear, concise and user-friendly interpersonal skills to easily transmit your ideas to any audience. Good commercial mindset to work closely with business partners Strong organization skills and self-motivation. Hands-on "can do" approach, with willingness to learn and adapt quickly A natural curiosity for how Data & Analytics can drive growth.
