Job Description

About this job:

  • Reporting to the Head of Risk Management Europe and CRO of PartnerRe's European subsidiaries.
  • Lead second-line risk management work (risk assessment, stress testing, contribution to ORSA and Recovery Planning, risk reporting) in respect of investment and balance sheet risks for PartnerRe's European subsidiaries in close collaboration with the CRO.
  • Lead risk management processes (in particular: risk assessments) in respect of investment and balance sheet risks (e.g. interest rate, equity, spread, FX, liquidity risk etc.) for PartnerRe's two European subsidiaries Partner Reinsurance Europe SE and PartnerRe Ireland Insurance dac
  • Contribute, as needed, to the ORSA capital projection and stress testing and the Recovery Planning scenario testing in respect of investment and balance sheet risks
  • Contribute to the quarterly risk reporting process to the two European subsidiaries
  • Support the CRO in second-line review of the quarterly Solvency II Market SCR reporting process for PartnerRe Group and the two European subsidiaries
  • Support the CRO in second-line review of the quarterly Hong Kong RBC reporting process
Qualifications

About you:

  • Strong quantitative background – mathematical (STEM) or investment risk education
  • At least 5 years of experience in the re(insurance) industry
  • Familiarity with Solvency II Standard Formula
  • Broad-based knowledge of investment and balance sheet risk
  • Structured and organized with good project management skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders across the organization
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to meeting deadlines
