Overview

The importance of the Allocator's role is significant for the efficient functioning of the ramp operation. The Allocator is responsible for assigning tasks, sharing information, and managing staffing on a shift-by-shift basis.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensure all staff are present and on time for their shifts.
  • Implement and monitor safety procedures, reporting any issues.
  • Allocate tasks, manpower, and equipment efficiently to optimize resources.
  • Maintain a positive relationship with the team to foster collaboration and motivation.
  • Plan and assign tasks, ensuring clear communication within the team.
  • Monitor operational needs and notify management of any deficiencies promptly.
  • Handle customer inquiries and relay issues to management.
  • Address staff inquiries and escalate issues to management.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and standards.
  • Perform any other assigned duties.

Qualifications

Required qualifications and competencies:

  • Minimum of three GCSE's/O Level or Leaving Cert equivalents.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • At least one year of experience in Ramp Service or a related field.
  • Understanding of ramp operations to effectively manage the team.
  • Ability to lead and motivate in challenging operational scenarios.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Familiarity with Ground Service Equipment operations.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Physically capable of manual labor, including lifting up to 32kg.
  • Willingness to work in varying weather conditions.
  • Availability to travel to the airport when public transport is unavailable.
  • Flexible to work different shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Proficient in English.
