We are looking to hire a Financial Accountant - Sustainability to join our finance team at Kerry. Reporting to a Finance Manager, you will have a key role in focusing on sustainability compliance, delivery, and external reporting.

This is a global role with substantial exposure to important stakeholders in the company. The ideal candidate will collaborate with other teams to advance our shared sustainability goals.

Kerry follows a Hybrid working policy, so candidates will need to work from our offices in Naas or Tralee each week.

What will be my responsibilities?
  • Become proficient in Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) external reporting requirements, including Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), and International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB), among others.
  • Offer technical guidance and assistance to the organization regarding external ESG reporting frameworks.
  • Collaborate with teams to ensure compliance with ESRS disclosure requirements and establish strong controls and a transparent audit trail for CSRD reporting and assurance.
  • Support in capability building and understanding of ESG reporting frameworks, advancements, and best practices in the industry.
  • Play a significant role in producing and improving external Sustainability disclosures for the Annual Report.
  • Assist in creating structures and controls to guarantee compliance with ESG frameworks and regulations.
  • Engage in year-end reporting and provide related support to our assurance partner.
  • Oversee data/responses submission to external ESG rating agencies and analyze for potential enhancements.
  • Contribute to investor and customer questionnaires as needed.
  • Enhance expertise through external engagement, research, and knowledge sharing within the finance function and cross-functionally.

  • Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CPA with post-qualification experience.
  • Audit/assurance background is advantageous.
  • Strong skills in relationship building and communication.
  • Effective problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience and knowledge of ESG standards and reporting requirements are desirable but not mandatory.
  • Results-driven mindset, ability to handle pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Capability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Great attention to accuracy and detail.
  • Advanced skills in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint are essential.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement.
