This cutting-edge site will develop numerous therapies for the company's expanding biologics lineup. The Global Biologics Laboratory (GBL), responsible for testing biologics drug products for the network, is also situated at the Cruiserath Biologics Campus.BMS Cruiserath has been honored as the 'Biopharma Company of the Year 2019' by the Irish Pharma Industry Awards and has been recognized as a Great Place to Work since 2017, including being distinguished as a Great Place to Work for Women in both 2020 and 2021.The RoleBMS Cruiserath Biologics is in search of a QC Apprentice on a fixed-term contract.The QC Apprentice is responsible for various tasks supporting the Laboratories, including but not limited to:

• Ordering and receiving consumables, reagents, and chemicals using Ariba
• Verifying instruments such as pH meters, pipettes, and balances
• Cleaning glassware
• Preparing solutions
• Managing sample activities like collection, delivery, and login
• Organizing sample shipments
• Maintaining CTUs by routinely defrosting and cleaning -80°C, -20°C, and 2-8°C CTUs
• Conducting QC testing as per experience, training, and qualification level
• Coordinating with management and technical leads for scheduled onsite and college days
• Responding to unforeseen events by collaborating with other functions
• Engaging in project and continuous improvement tasks as needed
• Utilizing BMS Ariba to raise purchase requisitions
• Receiving consumables in line with BMS procedural documents
• Performing instrument performance verification for selected laboratory equipment as per BMS procedural documents
• Completing glassware cleaning and maintaining stock
• Managing buffer requirements and preparing buffers for QC testing in line with BMS procedural documents
• Assisting with sample collection and login as per BMS procedural documents
• Collaborating with the manager to summarize weekly tasks for handover
• Participating in improvement projects for work practices, equipment, and a safe working environment
• Supporting colleagues and other functions with tasks such as equipment setup and sample processing
• Executing QC testing in accordance with BMS procedural documents, site requirements, and regulatory standards
• Ensuring the site is always audit-ready, maintaining housekeeping standards, and completing training on time

Qualifications, Knowledge, and Skills Required:

• Desirable for the successful candidate to hold a leaving certificate or a level 5 qualification in a related field
