Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive safety program following industry standards and regulations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed safety measures into daily operations.
  • Stay up-to-date on local, state, and federal safety regulations to ensure organizational compliance.
  • Conduct regular audits to evaluate compliance and enact necessary corrective actions.
  • Identify potential safety hazards, conduct risk assessments, and strategize with relevant departments to mitigate risks.
  • Deliver safety training programs for employees at all levels and ensure their awareness of safety protocols and emergency procedures.
  • Lead investigations into safety incidents, accidents, and near misses, analyzing root causes and proposing preventive measures.
  • Develop emergency response plans and conduct drills to test their effectiveness.
  • Promote open communication channels between management and employees regarding safety concerns.
  • Create and distribute safety-related communications and materials, fostering a culture of continuous improvement in safety practices.
  • Regularly review and update safety policies and procedures based on evolving trends and incidents.


Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • NEBSOH Construction Certificate or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in safety management, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of safety regulations and best practices.
  • Experience in conducting safety training sessions and familiarity with behavior-based safety programs.
  • Proficiency in utilizing safety management software.
