The Role. GMC are currently looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team. This is a permanent position in our Operations Team working on projects for clients which include ESB.

Key Duties and Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  1. Project Planning: Planning and overseeing electrical projects, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
  2. Testing and Troubleshooting: Conducting tests on electrical systems and components, identifying, and resolving issues.
  3. Equipment Maintenance: Managing the maintenance and repair of electrical equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  4. Research and Development: Engaging in research to stay updated on new technologies and incorporating innovations into projects.
  5. Safety Compliance: Ensuring that electrical systems comply with safety standards and regulations.
  6. Collaboration: Collaborating with other engineers and professionals in multidisciplinary teams to achieve project goals.
  7. Documentation: Creating and maintaining documentation for electrical designs, specifications, and project plans.
  8. Continuous Improvement: Identifying opportunities for efficiency improvements and cost reduction in electrical systems and processes.

The Candidate: Required Experience and Competencies:

  • Experience in producing Risk assessments and Method Statements, Quality assurance background desirable.
  • Commissioning experience on electrical systems, preferable EV Charger equipment.
  • Good IT skills, desirable proficient in CAD.
  • Proficient in Work Management Systems (WMS).
  • Full clean driver's license essential.
  • Has the ability to travel and conduct site surveys, Experience in civil works desirable.
  • Manpower Management and reporting.
  • Confident, motivated and can work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Ability to work under pressure with strict deadlines.
  • Time management abilities to meet targets.
  • Good communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
  • Integrity and respect for confidentiality and privacy.
