The successful candidate's role will involve the following:

Main Responsibilities

  • Appraise tender documents and in turn compile precise and well-organised estimates promptly.
  • Ensure the tenders are submitted and processed on time, follow up on tenders and documents and record any feedback.
  • Issue tender queries and RFIs, and prepare reports.
  • Ensure quantity take-offs and mark up measured drawings are accurately prepared.
  • Prepare costed bill of quantities.
  • Attend meetings and site visits when required.
  • Negotiate prices with suppliers and sub-contractors.
  • Build relationships with key vendors (subcontractors, suppliers, engineers etc).
  • Keep informed with developments in the industry.
  • Other related tasks as instructed.

Desired Criteria

  • 1+ Year Mechanical Estimating experience.
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and one Estimating Platform would be advantageous.
  • Attention to detail and high-quality standards are required.
  • Be a motivated and highly dependable individual.
  • Excellent numeracy, verbal and written communication skills
  • Full drivers' licence is advantageous.
